Bays Peaceful living on the bays of the United States give water access to Oceans and Gulf. Bay: An area of water mostly surrounded or otherwise demarcated by land. Bays generally have calmer waters than the surrounding sea, due to the surrounding land blocking some waves and often reducing winds. It can also be an inlet in a lake or pond.

Gulf Take a cruise to Mexico or take a night's outing on a casino boat. The Gulf of Mexico offers many vacation opportunities. Gulf: A large bay that is an arm of an ocean or sea.

Rivers Navigate the inland waterways of the United States. Find marinas with fuel and restaurants located near the water. We currently have 34,022 river miles online. River: A natural watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing toward an ocean, a lake, a sea or another river.

Dams Find dams by name and location. Dam: A barrier constructed across a waterway to control the flow or raise the level of water.

Only stations with at least 30 years of record are used. The gray circles indicate other stations that were not ranked in percentiles either because they have fewer than 30 years of record or because they report parameters other than streamflow.
